Primrose Hill Pub Rally 2017
Geoff is back with the Annual Pub Rally – Bigger, Badder, Better!
READ BELOW ABOUT ENTERING AND JOINING THE PUB RALLY – it should be fun as usual.
THIS YEAR WE ARE BREAKING NEW GROUND (PRIMROSE HILL AREA) I will let everyone know the meeting pub, in due course.
Start thinking about who you want to pair up with as team. Mixed teams are to be encouraged – although the nature of the pub rally and competing under pressure is such that it can lead to divorce !
THIS IS A GREAT EVENT FOR RECRUITING NEW PLAYERS FOR THE CLUB either by bringing a new player along to compete or by advertising UCSOBRFC on the route (by wear UCSOBRFC branded clothing).
Last year’s event was very successful and we look forward to seeing even more numbers of teams this year (teams of 2).
For those who are unfamiliar with this type of event – its a sort of pub crawl with attitude, for people who think they are smart. Teams start from a designated pub, follow a route around to 4 other pubs, answering questions along the way after being given a sheet of instructions. Time to have a drink in each pub and then set off again. All teams ending up at the same pub for a social …… and then more to drink !
Prizes for the first three teams. Teams set off from the first pub between 3pm and 4.15pm (you will be given a start time), and the competition part of the rally should finish around 7pm. If you can’t make the rally start, and want to join us then at the final pub then thats fine.
IMPORTANT:
PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF YOU ARE PLANNING TO ATTEND (email geoff.boxer(at)virginmedia.com or by text/whatsapp to 07984467189. THEN ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS ARRIVE (on Sat 5th August) FROM 3PM ONWARDS (but before 4.15pm, when last teams are sent off on the rally.
